Etienne Charles, MM

On May 24th 2008, Etienne received his Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School. He was also awarded the William Schuman Prize for outstanding achievement and leadership in music of a graduate student. Honorary doctorates were conferred on Hank Jones, Carmen de Lavallade, Charles Simonyi, Anna Deavere Smith, Mitsiko Uchida and Placido Domingo who gave the commencement speech at Avery Fischer Hall.
